Suction Diffuser or CRV Flex ?

CRV Flex
Brochure   Brochure | White Paper

An angle-pattern flow-straightening fitting that combines a diffuser-strainer orifice cylinder and full-length straightening vanes to provide ideal flow conditions for the pump suction.

The CRV Technology consists of a specially designed set of stationary vanes placed upstream of an elbow. The CRV imparts to the fluid a gyroscopic motion, which counteracts the elbow induced motion, enabling the fluid to negotiate the turn uniformly and exit with a flat velocity profile.

The Suction Diffuser Offers:

  • Provides ideal flow conditions for the pump ensuring NPSH requirements are met.
  • Diffuser orifice cylinder serves as pump strainer with much more free area than conventional strainers.
  • Eliminates Trouble — Good flow conditions promote trouble-free operation.
  • Startup Strainer
  • Saves Time
  • Saves Space
  • Saves Money

The CRV Flex offers:

  • The lowest pressure drop available
  • Guaranteed measurable improved pump performance
  • Reduced pump vibration and wear, maximizing pump operating life and helping reduce pump maintenance
  • Increased pump efficiency
  • Increased flow rate
  • Saves Time
  • Saves Space
  • Saves Money

Triple duty valves have superior balancing capabilities.

Calibrated Balance Valve

  • Maximizes the systems operating efficiency and allows for compliance with the National Energy Building Code Standards.

Non-Slam Check Valve

  • Engineered for positive shut-off without water hammer or valve chatter.

Shut-Off Valve

  • Calibrated nameplate and memory button allows return of valve to the balanced position after shut-off

New Vane Flex dramatically reduces pump turbulence and improves flow of engineered piping system.

Piping engineers now have a more compact, efficient solution to reduce turbulence and straighten flow. The new Vane Flex pump connector not only exceeds flow-straightening values recommended by all major manufacturers of balancing-type valves, it does it in a fraction of space.

Before Vane Flex

After Vane Flex

The Vane Flex eliminates the need for 10 pipe diameters after the pump and before the balancing valve
